why don't you tell them where you hid my body?!
i saw the movie version of mats wahl's book "the invisible" today. it's kind of an amazing book. i loved it. so the movie was almost as good as the book. the movie stars justin chatwin [http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/1658/justin9fy.jpg] and margarita levieva [http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1162/1201022460_c9dabac038.jpg?v=0], who are both great actors.
there are a few differences, however.
for one thing, the main character in the book is named hilmer eriksson, and in the movie he's nicholas powell. the detective in the book is harald fors, and in the movie his name is brian larson. the book is set in sweden, and the movie is set in washington. in the book, he was beaten by a group of skinhead teens at school because he was trying to protect an immigrant student. in the movie, levieva's character [named annie; she wasn't in the book] beat him up with her gang because she thought he had ratted her out for breaking into a jewelry store display. i'm not sure which works better. they're both very good plotlines separately, as far as i'm concerned, but it's hard to believe they came from the same concept when you've seen the movie and read the book.
amazon.com recommends reading "the body of christopher creed" by carol plum-ucci instead. i haven't read that one. maybe i will now, though.
